Kathy Cahill Joins On the Rox Counseling as an MSW Intern.
Kathy will be joining On the Rox Counseling in August 2019 as an Advance MSW Intern from Aurora University. She has hopes of completing her MSW degree in 2020. She received her
her undergraduate degree in Social Work at Gordon College, Massachusetts. Where she earned the Leadership Scholarship for her high academics and leadership skills. While at Gordon College, she attended a Borderline Personality Conferance at the very prestigious Boston University, where she learned about Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, she hold a certificate from Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
She has been involved Renewal Church Women’s Support Group, as a co-founder and assistant leader, as well as, volunteering at Naomi House, which is a home and community program for woman who has suffered from commercial sexual exploitation run by the Moody Church. She has coached Girl's Lacrosse and acted as a Special Education Aide in the school system.
Currently, in addition to raising 2 young boys and attending Aurora University's MSW program, and teaches piano. Kathy hopes to use her love of music in the internship in some way.
